Center Muraz - Burkina Faso
Since 2001, the MURAZ Center has become a Burkina Faso health research institute under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Health and the financial guardianship of the Ministry in charge of the Economy and Finance.
It was first established as EPA, then became EPS in 2006, with a special status5 from 2008. These institutional transformations were carried out by the public authorities to guarantee the MURAZ Center the conditions for a full contribution by development health research in Burkina Faso.
The mission statement states that the MURAZ Center should contribute to the prevention, diagnosis and control of communicable and noncommunicable diseases by promoting and conducting health research, training and expertise in medical biology, humanities and public health.
